Brittany and James’ Rosewood Estate Wedding

Brittany and James’ Rosewood Estate wedding was many beautiful things. But with all actuality, it was likely the hottest wedding I’ve photographed to date. The forecast leading up to their wedding signalled torrential rain. I had already reconciled this fact within myself the day before Brittany and James’ wedding and was bracing myself (and my cameras) for whatever mother nature had to throw at us.

Being located on top of the Gold Coast hinterland, Rosewood Estate has some of the most stunning views that look down to the mountain range in the Numinbah Valley. The valley was thick with moisture to the point of not being able to see beyond the immediate ranges. It felt like at some point the day was going to go out with a bang. What’s more, Drew the coordinator from White Stag informed me upon arrival that a storm was due to roll in around 3pm. Right around ceremony time. Awesome…

But as things so often turn out, the dreaded storm didn’t come to pass and instead we were left with what the BOM told me was 98% humidity. As you will see from the pics below, James and his boys were well and truly prepared, wearing their speedos for a good part of the morning. Whilst we may have sweltered during the ceremony, things cooled off shortly after and Brittany and James’ Rosewood Estate wedding turned out to be one of my favourite weddings thus far.
