An intimate and joyful day captured on 35mm film and digital.

My last wedding of the year for 2025 was this incredible wedding, Madelyn and Ryan’s wedding at Crescent Head. And as you will see, my year went off with a bang!

Here are a few of my favourite things about Madelyn and Ryan’s wedding at Crescent Head which made it hands down one of the my absolute favourite weddings of the year:

– I got to shoot a couple of rolls of 35mm film at Madelyn and Ryan’s wedding. The look and feel of 35mm film gives wedding photos that little kick of bottled nostalgia. And sure, I may have come to the hard realisation that loading film in a bumpy moving car is a bad idea, but I got to bang out two rolls in the first half of the day.

– Crescent Head itself is so beautiful. As you will see, you don’t need golden hour light to create beautiful portraits. (Although I’d still recommend keeping away from midday summer light).

The pre ceremony photos were a mixture of 35mm film and digital, capturing the pure joy in the lead up to the ceremony as well as lots of nervous laughs.

the WEDDING PARTY

The main priority for Maz and Ryan and their wedding party was the everyone was to have the best time possible.

the reception entrance

If there was a prize for most epic reception entrance of the year, Madelyn and Ryan would have surely cleaned up. They made their entrance on horseback! I’ve never seen a crowd so rallied up!

into the evening

An absolutely incredible day wrapped up with what I imagine was one heck of a party (I captured the dance floor but left before things got what I can only assume were exceptionally wild). This was truly a magical wedding to wrap up what was a very busy and fruitful 2025 for me.
