Paddington Reservoir PreWedding Photography

Jacqueline and Andrew’s Paddington Reservoir PreWedding Photography session was nothing short of epic!

We were blessed with such an amazing location and the type of light that photographers dream of. Seriously, this place looks like something straight out of Ancient Rome!

Paddington Reservoir is pretty much one of my favourite spots in Sydney for engagement photo shoots. Yes, it can be a bit busy at certain times, but if you can pick your timing right, you’re in for a serious treat. Luckily for us, we went on a late Sunday afternoon when it was pretty quiet. We more or less had the place to ourselves which helps with creating stunning images.

I’m a big believer that a photographer has the responsibility of researching photo locations prior to shooting couples. Whilst this is great and something I always do, I also love having the opportunity of shooting in completely new and impromptu locations. Having a fresh set of eyes can lead to lots of creativity and interesting and unique imagery. I was certainly in for a treat for this photo shoot. The whole way from the reservoir to Centennial Park was filled with amazing and spontaneous photo opportunities. I particularly loved the pigeon photo and the flower shop pic. You’ll see 😉

Jacqueline and Andrew were an adventurous couples who were willing to give a couple of my left of field photo ideas a crack. (Thanks guys, you’re awesome!) They also were able to match me in my sense of humour and slight quirkiness which bodes well for when I photograph their wedding. I’m looking heaps forward to photographing their wedding this May at Athol Hall in Sydney Harbour.

Whilst I’m here, I should put a big shout out to Exquisite Bridal Hair. Jacqueline’s hair really was exquisite!!!
