Mel and Dave’s Hinterland Wedding

Mel and Dave

It’s funny to think that Mel and Dave were planning for a summer wedding. As can be the way, at the very time Dave and Mel got married the entire East Coast of Australia had a cold, rainy snap and their wedding turned more into a winter style wedding. I was a bit apprehensive about how the dreary forecast would affect Mel and Dave’s wedding, but as you will see, their wedding was nothing short of amazing!

Here are some things I especially loved about Mel and Dave’s wedding:

  • Willow the ring bearer. Literally the cutest dog ever!
  • Dave’s getting ready location. The light had me seriously frothing.
  • Mel and Dave’s sense of humour + adventure. They were laughing the whole way through their portrait session.
  • Their dance floor went off!
  • Mel and Dave’s style – here’s what they had to say about it below:

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

We’ve gone for a relaxed, chilled vibe for the wedding. Very natural setting, we aren’t having over the top flowers or anything too much. We are actually going for pots of herbs and flowers for the table settings to have more of a homey, rustic, country vibe to the wedding. The venue is already so beautiful, picture farm style winery, eucalyptus trees and beautiful landscapes. The bridesmaids will be in light sage green dresses, and the lads will be in cream trousers and light brown suspenders with no jackets.

For me, I’ve had a lot of my couples postpone due to having interstate relatives. So I hadn’t actually photographed a full day wedding in a while before Mel and Dave’s wedding. Was I a bit rusty? Go see for yourself. Check out Dave and Mel’s ridiculously fun and beautiful wedding below.
