Lisa and Joel’s Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm Wedding was the freaking bomb!
In so many ways Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm Wedding is the perfect wedding venue. Surrounded by chiseled, volcanic mountains, green rolling hills and bucolic scenery the views from Kooroomba are next level. Just look below! Then add the stunningly unique chapel, beautiful lavender fields and a first dance spot under the stars amongst fairly lights. Seriously, what more could you ask for?

I’d been hanging out for a quite a while to shoot at Kooroomba. Being just about fully booked for 2021 I had resigned myself to not shooting there until next year. And then out of nowhere Lisa and Joel booked me 2 months before their wedding. I literally wet my pants when they said they were getting married at Kooroomba Lavender Farm. Well maybe not literally, more so metaphorically. But, you get my gist…
Lisa and Joel’s wedding was absolutely perfect! I particularly liked the getting ready location Lisa chose. It is about a 20 minute drive from the venue but was spacious, had stunning light and allowed for some creative photos. If you’re looking at getting married at Kooroomba lavender Farm, definitely check out 28 Elizabeth St Aratula for your prep location.
One other aspect of this wedding I really liked was capturing Alex: Lisa and Joel’s son and Will: Lisa’s bridesmaid’s son. I’ve always gravitated towards capturing candid images of kids at weddings, even more so since I’ve become a dad. I love how uninhibited kids are, not at all afraid to outwardly show how they are feeling.
Another really cool thing was Lisa’s wedding dress. So many times when I’m moving the wedding dress during the prep it feels like I’m lifting weights. (Brides, I don’t know how you do it all day)! But not Lisa’s dress. She had the most practical wedding dress ever. Why? Apart from being light weight it had pockets! Yes, freaking pockets on a wedding dress! Is that not the best idea ever?
Perhaps my favourite part of the wedding was the ridiculously stunning chapel which at times felt otherworldly. It’s just so unique; an architectural masterpiece and allowed for lots of unique and creative imagery, like this one above.
A big thanks to Sam and her team at Kooroomba Weddings. They were super helpful and accommodating and made sure I was well fed.
So future brides and grooms, if you are thinking of getting married at Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm Wedding, seriously, don’t overthink it. Just do it!
