If you think about what the perfect elopement would look like, you might imagine something like an intimate ceremony on top of a mountain with stunning views looking down on the clouds. This was pretty close to Christine and Dave’s vision and one I shared too. But what happens when a rather (rudely), unexpected storm blows through and rains out your perfect ceremony location?
Well, despite Christine and Dave’s mountain top ceremony location being rained out, their elopement was perfect in so many ways. For ultimately, it’s the company we share in that makes for a perfect elopement/wedding. And Christine and Dave couldn’t have been in better company on their wedding day than with a small, intimate gathering of their close family members.
I honestly can’t describe how beautiful and heartfelt Christine and Dave’s special day was. I will instead leave for this for the photos to tell. I will say that Christine and Dave are two of the most loveliest humans I have ever met and I was truly honoured to be a part of their special day. And hey, we were able to sneak to their original ceremony location in the middle of a chaotic lightening storm and capture some moody, fun and stunning portraits. (Psst, hey future elopers, always have a plan B ceremony location)!
Christine and Dave – you are officially one of the most awesome and adventurous couples I have come across to date! A massive high five to you both for braving mother nature in all of her chaotic glory and for redefining what it means to be adventurous! I’m sure your round 2 wedding next year at The Gold Coast Farm House will be absolutely amazing!
