For anyone wondering what the shortest amount of time is that a wedding can be successfully pulled from the very idea of getting married to the actual wedding day, Tayla and Rob can provide a bit of inspo. All it took was two and a half months for Tayla and Rob to organise their stunningly, beautiful backyard wedding.
Tayla and Rob got married at Rob’s parent’s property in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast. Given that Tayla and Rob used to live at this property and it is up for sale shortly, this was a very sentimental spot for these two.
Tayla and Rob have a very sweet proposal story. As Tayla told me “Rob and I went on a hiking trip to Carnarvon Gorge, on the last section of the 20km hike Rob (dramatically) twisted his ankle. I was adamant that we go straight back to camp, however Rob had other ideas. He wanted to venture into the secluded forest to explore a nearby waterfall, at this point I knew something was up. Rob got down on one knee and I didn’t know if he had hurt himself again, when he then popped the question. Obviously I said YES!”
As for me, I absolutely love to photograph weddings on private properties. They tend to have a very different vibe and pace and I always come away with the feeling that I have the best job in the world.
Thanks heaps Tayla and Rob for having me as a part of your special day!!
