Jess and Matt’s Echoes Boutique Restaurant Wedding was full of love and adventure! These two high school sweethearts drove all the way from Adelaide so they could get married in the picturesque Blue Mountains. For Jess and Matt, it was really important to capture the stunning landscapes as a part of their wedding. I kept on looking at the BOM prior to their wedding, hoping the 70kmph winds would magically disappear. And well, as you will see from Jess and Matt’s images, it was probably more like 80kmph winds!

A big high five to Jess and Matt and their bridal party for braving the elements. On the morning of their prep I kept joking they would have a ‘true Blue Mountains experience’. Mother nature was out in true force but I had one very determined bridal party on my hands. Seriously, Jess and Matt, not every couple would brave the sheer cliffs in crazy winds and own it like you guys did! Thanks for trusting in my vision to create some romantic, windswept images despite the circumstances working against us.

On a more personal note, it was really the people that came together to create this special day for Jess and Matt. Their wedding was very intimate with mostly family members and a few close friends. It felt like a very cozy celebration with plenty of good vibes. A special thanks to Matt’s dad for making sure I didn’t beerless during the reception. Apart from the fact that beer never tastes as good as when you are photographing a wedding, I always say the photos come out that bit better after a sneaky beverage 🍻
