Laura and Sam’s Byron Bay engagement shoot was full of good vibes! From the hinterland to the stunning Brays Beach, there was non stop love and laughter between these two.
I met up with Laura and Sam to preview Kohinur Hall, a beautiful venue nestled in the picturesque Jersusalem National Park. Given that Laura and Sam have asked that I take a mostly documentary style approach to photographing their wedding, they decided to have some portrait photos in the area around Kohinur Hall before their big day. Being a nature deprived city boy, I was absolutely blown away by the truly amazing nature in this area. I can’t wait to photograph their Moroccan inspired chic wedding this coming August! The first photos in this gallery are taken in lush foresty, winding roads around Main Arm.

We next headed out to the secluded Bray’s Beach in Broken Head nature reserve. I love that you need to hike through rough terrain to get to Brays Beach. The rock scramble and general ruggedness means this stunning beach is scarcely populated. We didn’t quite catch the sunset at the beach, but were there for that beautiful time of day when the sky lights up and glows a brilliant pink!
After some epic jumping photos and a small yoga sesh, we headed back to Byron where Laura and Sam took me out for a sushi train dinner (#bestcouplever!). I had a really great time connecting with these two, talking about the fine art of sushi making, life amongst the trees and the mysteries of existence!
Laura and Sam, thanks for such a great evening. Your Byron Bay engagement shoot was a bunch of fun! I truly can’t wait to photograph your big day very soon!!!
